Looking for a ceramic studio space to work at in a great location where other artists work?
Our Mission Statement: To provide a positive and supportive creative center for artists to work, to learn, to create.
Our doors are not open to the public unless we are having an event, and we have no regular public ‘business hours’. We function as private studio spaces, classes and events. Events may include second Saturday art walk, gallery openings, featured artists shows/workshops, Demo’s and eventually movie nights! This is one of the biggest advantages of being part of the Studios. Collaborating in events creates a community that we can all share in and support.
Membership Agreements and Studio Guidelines:
We are a small-scale Creative Center where artists, crafters, and dabblers do their art. We do our work, we share it with the community. We have classes and events, we support the arts and one another.
1. Defined Studio Spaces:
These are approximately 6’ x 5’ spaces with a dedicated table and shelves for single occupancy. Artist gets access 24/7 to facility. Use of shared equipment such as slab roller, wedge table, potters wheel and nominal firing included in monthly rent.
Participation in 4 annual events such as Sac Open Studios, Gallery exhibitions etc., is encouraged. During events only, sales commission of artwork is 25%.
2. Open Studio Spaces:
These are spaces in the Open Studio/Classroom. There is no dedicated table, but any open space is available for use. Tables may be shared if more than one artist needs a space. A 3 tier shelving unit in this area is included for storage. No other storage will be provided. When finished for the day, artwork in progress may be stored and labeled on wire shelves. Finished art can return for events and exhibits but will need to go home after the end of an event.
During classes, the Open Studio Space will be unavailable for use. There is a Master Class Schedule posted in Open Studio/Classes space. We have no more than 2 classes per week.
