Hand Building Figures with Marsha Schindler

$375.00

This Fall, Marsha Schindler will lead a hand-building ceramic workshop series focused on figurative sculpture.

In this series, artists will explore how to sculpt human figures in ways that capture gesture, movement, and narrative. Each piece will take the form of a freestanding tabletop sculpture, depicting the figure from hip to head.

In the final sessions, participants will create accessories and adornments to enrich their figures with personal symbolism and stories. Rather than emphasizing hyper-realism, these workshops will embrace whimsical proportions and stylized features as a powerful approach to storytelling.

Workshops will take place on select weekdays through the last week of October and the first half of November. The series is open to artists of all experience levels.

Please note:

  • Each workshop series includes 6 individual work sessions.

  • No partial refunds are available for missed sessions.

  • Space is limited to 8 participants so don’t hesitate to register if you want to attend!

You can find the full schedule of sessions below.
