This February and March, Marsha Godoy Schindler will lead a hand-building ceramic workshop series focused on creating whimsical animal spirits.

During these daytime workshop sessions, we will bring animal spirits to life through gesture and expression. We will finish our animal figures by playfully exploring otherworldly representations through glaze application.

Focusing on animals that have personally appeared to you in some form. Dreams can be fertile in this regard and speak to you on some level. We will have time to reflect on the influence of animals in our lives and represent them through our intention during these workshop sessions. This is our opportunity to work imaginatively creating our own representation of an animal's spirit.

This workshop includes participation in 6 studio sessions where attendees will learn to use ceramic hand-building techniques to construct animal figures under the guidance of Marsha. After the workshop, there is a scheduled gathering where the finished artworks are unveiled and participants can share about their inspirations and experiences.

Please note:

  • Each workshop series includes 6 individual work sessions.

  • No partial refunds are available for missed sessions.

  • Space is limited to 8 participants so don’t hesitate to register if you want to attend!
